Hello! How did you learn to draw in your style?
Anonymousi am not sure what this means at all, because i just…. drew a lot… and ended up drawin like i do eventually so???
step one. draw in a generic anime style for several years of your life
(circa 2006)
step 2. start going through that phase where you think drawing in anime styles is lame and try to make your art more “realistic” through vague changes and no actual study of realism. draw really strangely stretched out faces and heads, that actually look worse than the super anime stuff, for a while.
(circa 2007)
step 333 just keep drawing til the things you draw at least look vaguely human
(circa 2008)(currently suffering from what tish would call “anime long mid-face” [really pretty much u can boil this “process” im layin out so far to ‘do exactly what she describes here’])(p sure i might still be suffering from this tbh)
step four i guess? why are there steps. continue fleshin this out and shit, but still dont bother actually studying any of the anatomy of the face/basic proportions n all that

steP 5. i dont actually know anymore, you know im just showin a progression now. 2010 was a good year, theres still bugs to work out, but i did a lot of stuff i still really like and i think my general drawing style kinda solidified?

step 6. plateau and dont do much improving for the next 3 years!!! congrats now u draw in my style.

i’m really terrible at developing characters and stories and stuff, so i made a little list of exercises to practice those things haha.
anyway, this is the first one, which was to design 5 throwaway characters and come up 5 character traits for each. miiiight do this one a few times just for the sake of it, it was fun MAYBE TRY IT YOURSELF.
more from my concentrationnn, most of these are. this was forced practice with depth, interiors, and telling a story with one image?? IDK HOW I DID WITH THEM ALL BUT I LIKE IT even though all those lines get a little mesmerizing.
